Fiji maintained their perfect record at the Oceania Under 20 Football Championship, outclassing Papua New Guinea 3-0 in Suva on Tuesday.

A dogged PNG had done well to contain the home side before conceding just minutes before halftime.

With two rounds remaining Fiji are two points clear of nearest rivals Vanuatu, who rediscovered their scoring touch to thrash American Samoa 4-0.

Elsewhere New Caledonia scored twice in the final ten minutes to beat Solomon Islands 3-1 for their first win of the tournament.

The overall winner will qualify for next year's Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.
