A licence application by a company to own and operate a hotel and casino in the Northern Marianas has been stopped after the company failed to properly apply.

Mega Stars Overseas Limited made an application to operate Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino, but the Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission says it has decided to return the application.

The company says it will continue to work cooperatively with the commission.

The chief executive officer of Mega Stars, Cario Hon, says it has already spent more than 40 million US dollars to save the hotel from going under, and says workers and taxes have also been paid.
