Papua New Guinea is pulling together a team of engineers and other experts to help rebuild flood ravaged parts of Solomon Islands.

The Post Courier reports the Public Enterprise Minister Ben Micah says his ministry will co-ordinate all the state owned enterprises' efforts to help restore infrastructure such as power, roads and bridges.

Mr Micah said PNG and the Solomon Islands have shared a lot of friendship over the years.
