A senior Papua New Guinea police officer has called for police officers to be reported if they commit abuses.

He says police should be reported to the Internal Affairs Section immediately so that action can be taken.

Chief Superintendent Kakas says the police top management has a zero tolerance level on unprofessional, unethical, corrupt and abusive policemen.

He says the disciplinary system and processes within the constabulary are quite transparent and effective.
