The Australian senator Brett Mason is in Fiji meeting senior members of the Fiji government amid continued warming relations between the two countries.
The parliamentary secretary to Australia's Foreign Minister will meet the attorney-general Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum in Sigatoka this morning.
Yesterday the senator met Fiji's Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.
The Fiji government says the two officials discussed the elections and a range of bilateral, regional and global issues.
It says they also discussed a new reciprocal working holiday visa scheme.
The meetings come following the lifting of sanctions on Fiji imposed by Australia and New Zealand after the 2006 coup.
