Vanuatu's Electoral Office has confirmed that Jean Yves Chabod is the newly elected member of parliament for Port Vila.
Mr Chabod from the Prime Minister's Green Confederation Party won the by-election which was called after the Minister for Internal Affairs, Patrick Crowby, died last December.
