A tsunami warning following a major earthquake off Makira in Solomon Islands has been cancelled.
The magnitude 7 point 6 tremor was at a depth of 33 kilometres and close to the area where a strong quake hit during the flooding a week ago.
There are no reports yet of damage from the quake which occurred a little over an hour ago.
