In the Northern Marianas, Mega Stars Overseas Limited may now have second thoughts of building a new 1,000-room hotel, a 36-hole golf course, and a 5 million US dollar water park on Tinian now that casino gaming is legal on Saipan.

Tinian Mayor, Ramon Dela Cruz, says he is now worried that the new owner of Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino will no longer pursue the projects if it applies for and is granted-an exclusive license to operate a casino on Saipan.

CNMI's Governor, Eloy Inos, has said that the new owner of Tinian Dynasty is one of those parties he expects to apply for a Saipan casino license.
