The only carrier left servicing the Northern Marianas-Guam route has temporarily cancelled its inter-island following what Cape Air calls a technical issue.
The temporary cancellation comes following a report that Cape Air's lone ATR-42 aircraft made an emergency landing on Friday at the Francisco C. Ada-Saipan International Airport runway.
In lieu of the Cape Air service, United Airlines will operate an extra flight with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft every day until March the 29th to make arrangements for the affected customers to complete their journeys.
United Airlines operates Cape Air flights, which is expected to resume after March the 29th or after the aforementioned technical issues are addressed.
