Fiji sevens coach Ben Ryan admits this weekend's Tokyo leg of the World Series will be something of a juggling act, with a tight turnaround before the next event in Hong Kong.
Fiji are third in the competition standings after five rounds, behind New Zealand and South Africa.
Vatemo Ravouvou is the only new cap among the six changes from the squad that finished third in Wellington last month.
Ben Ryan says with only five days between Tokyo and the start of Hong Kong, there is a lot of physical demands being placed on the players.
"I've got to have a Plan B up my sleeve as well and Hong Kong Sevens is held in such high regard over here in Fiji that I've got to be careful their eyes aren't on the following weeks tournament and [we] need to put in a good set of results in Tokyo to get us some momentum and keep us humming for that top spot in the World Series. The boys know they've got to perform otherwise I might be flying in boys to play in the Hong Kong leg and they're aware of that."
Fiji are in the same pool as Samoa, France and the USA.
