Fiji Citizens Constitutional Forum CEO stepping down from role

7:28 pm on 18 March 2014

The chief executive of the Fiji Citizens Constitutional Forum, Akuila Yabaki, says he will transit out of the post and into a new role this year, after 15 years in charge.

The Forum says the change has been planned for over the past two years, to ensure a smooth transition and is unrelated to any internal human resource matters that have been reported in the media this week.

The CCF board chair, Tessa Mackenzie, says Reverend Yabaki has been a strong and visionary leader from the forum's very beginning with a strong commitment to human rights for all.

Reverend Yabaki says his semi-retirement will mean he can focus on his interests and spend more time with his family, but he will still be involved in providing guidance to the organisation.
