A man is in custody in Samoa after two men were attacked and killed with a machete while they were sleeping early on Tuesday morning.
Our correspondent Autagavaia Tipi Autagavaia says the police are still investigating and it appears there was a dispute between the accused and the dead men.
He says the whole country is very shocked at the double killing.
He says the victims were from the village of Ulutogia and were from the same extended family.
"The oldest of the deceased is a forty-one year old man with three children, married with three children. And the youngest is twenty-seven years old according to police, with one child and he's married as well."
Autagavaia Tipi Autagavaia says the accused man is likely to appear in court at the end of this week.
