US$6 million bill for last Fiji floods

Reports from Fiji say Fiji's last floods have cost the Central Division about 6 million US dollars.

The Fiji Times reports most of the bill is for damage to roads in the region, which includes the capital Suva.

The estimated damage to roads is about five million US dollars.

The total damage to crops in the region amounts to more than half a million dollars.
