Sport: Capras wary of improved PNG Hunters

12:14 pm on 11 March 2014

The Papua New Guinea Hunters next opponents are well aware of the task in front of them in Kokopo this weekend.

The Central Queensland Capras are winless after the first two rounds of the Queensland Cup and travel to PNG to face the unbeaten Hunters on Saturday.

The Rockhampton based club are the only team to beat the Hunters in their brief history, in a pre-season clash last month, but Capras coach Jason Hetherington isn't reading too much into that result.

"We played them in a trial and we had a bit of success with them but they'll be a lot better now they've had two terrific wins in the Intrust [Super] Cup. They're big and physical and certainly play with enthusiasm like they enjoy their footy. They're going to be hard to beat and we're certainly going to have to have a good week this week in preparation and go up there with the right attitude".

Saturday's match is the second of a three game home stand for the Hunters.
