Papua New Guinea have finished last at the Under 19 Cricket World Cup after losing their final match against Canada by 11 runs.

Nosaina Pokana and Sakavai Gabai combined for seven wickets as Canada were bowled out for 169 in the 45th over.

But despite a 40 run opening stand from Kiplin Doriga and Riley Hekure, and a tournament high 39 not out from captain Dogodo Bau, the Garamuts lost regular wickets and their run chase ended on 158 in the penultimate over.

PNG lost all six of their matches at the World Cup and failed to bat out their 50 overs on each occasion.
