The United States says it will provide half a million US dollar to help Fiji with its election planned for September.
The assistance was announced by the US deputy assistant secretary for East Asia and Pacific affairs, Dennise Mathieu.
She says the US government is looking forward to continuing and strengthening relations with Fiji in the lead-up to the elections.
