Pakistan made an imposing 283 batting first, having at one point been 197 for 1.
In reply, Garamuts opener Riley Hekure was run out without facing a ball.
Fellow opener Kiplin Doriga dug in to make 51 before PNG were eventually dismissed for 138.
Their final group match is against India on Wednesday.
