The President of the Methodist Church in Fiji, the Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu, has passed away after a short illness.
FBC News reports that the Reverend Tuikilakila died in hospital this morning at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
FBC News says a former President, the Reverend Ame Tugaue, will act as the Interim President until a new one is elected.
