CNMI college gets upgrade from accrediting commission

8:15 pm on 10 February 2014

The Accrediting Commission on Community Junior Colleges has lifted the show-cause order imposed on the Northern Marianas College.

It marks the first time in eight years that the CNMI's lone tertiary institution is not under the severe sanction.

The decision grants NMC the highest level of reaffirmation, requiring no visits or reports after the commission action.

The Commission president Barbara Beno, says they are fully satisfied with all the submissions made by the College including reports submitted and the oral testimonies made during last month's meeting in San Francisco.
