Vanuatu's public prosecutor, Kayleen Tavoa, has been forced to resign after reports of her allegedly neglecting her duties.
The Daily Post says she was given the chance to resign after a number of complaints were leveled against her last month.
It says a committee of inquiry was set up to determine if there were any ground to substantiate her removal.
No details have been given.
The paper says when she was given the choice to either resign or dispute the allegations, she decided to quit.
