In Samoa, the deputy prime minister Fonotoe Pierre Lauofo and Associate Minister Muagututagata Peter Ah Him are due appear in court on Tuesday.
Fonotoe faces a charge of inciting or encouraging the obstruction of a police officer from executing his/her duty.
Muagututagata faces two charges, one is for making an illegal u-turn and the other for wilfully obstructing a Police officer from executing his or her duty.
The charges against the pair relate to an incident last October where Fonotoe is alleged to have instructed Muagututagata to drive away from police who were attempting to breath test him for drunk driving.
The acting Police Commissioner, Misa Tala'imanu Keti confirmed the charges against the pair over the weekend.
The charges carry a possible jail term of no more than one year.
The pair deny any wrong doing.
