The head of Transparency International in Vanuatu says politicians involved in fraudulent issue of passports need to go.
Marie-Noelle Ferrieux Patterson says there have been repeated allegations of false diplomatic passports being wrongfully issued and it's time for action.
She says the Commission of Inquiry's report into the matter is with the Minister of Justice but has not yet been formally made public.
She says the Minister and the Ombudsman have an obligation to release the information and not hide what is going on.
"The prosecution is probably the most important part. Because if some people were brought to justice, then they will be condemned, then they will get some kind of sentence, and having a sentence then they could also be prevented from occupying high positions, so they would be eliminated from the political system."
Ms Ferrieux Patterson says no prosecution was taken after a similar inquiry not long ago into Vanuatu's embassy in Bejing and now it's time for action.
