The American Samoa Special Olympics team have arrived home after winning seven medals at the Asia Pacific Games in Newcastle, Australia.
Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga's wife, Cynthia Moliga, led the government delegation at the airport to welcome the team, who won two Gold medals, and says American Samoa has proven that it's not always the numbers, but the spirit of the players that matters.
The American Samoa Special Olympics board chair Tafa Tupuola says the experience has been a momentous one for the disability population in the territory.

It's a long time overdue to recognise our disability population and if it has to be through sports this is it.
This is the first time in many years that American Samoa participated in a regional special olympics event.
