The prime minister of Tuvalu says the recent United Nations climate change conference in Poland was disappointing and frustrating, and showed a lack of urgency to combat climate change.
Enele Sopoaga says climate change is very real for the people of Tuvalu, with some having to abandon their homes on the outer islands.
But he says major industrial nations have wound back their targets, showing a complete disregard for the people of Tuvalu.
He says some Pacific neighbours, which he would not name specifically, have been particularly unhelpful.
"The elements of urgency and fulfilling comitments - they have just disappeared from the radar. People are talking more about industries rather than serving the people of the world, but particularly of island countries that are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change."
Enele Sopoaga says it is offensive that some people have suggested that the people of Tuvalu should relocate somewhere else.
