Sport: Barbarians name lineup to face Fiji

12:17 pm on 20 November 2013

The Barbarians rugby club have named a typically star-studded lineup to take on Fiji later this month at Twickenham.

Springboks captain Jean de Villiers will be joined by eight of his countrymen, including hooker Bismarck du Plessis and flanker Schalk Burger.

There are eight All Blacks including Tonga born winger Frank Halai and five Argentinians, with Manu Samoa centre Paul Williams the only Pacific representative.

The traditional uncapped player is the Hurricanes halfback TJ Perenara, and the team will be prepared by the All Blacks coach Steve Hansen.

Next weekend's match will celebrate the centenary of the Fiji Rugby Union and is a rematch of the famous game in 1970 when Fiji defeated the Baa-Baas by 29-9.

More than 60 thousand tickets have already been sold.
