The Fijian Teachers Association is calling for more details about the government's announcement it will pay for every child's education from next year.
The government has pledged to fund the education of students from years one to 13.
But the Association's general secretary, Maika Namudu, says he is waiting to see more information about the policy before celebrating.
"What does it mean, what does it entail? Does it mean that they will pay for their school fees as well as their lunch fees, their transport and other related costs? That's what we would like to know."
Maika Namudu says he hopes next month's budget will address his questions.
