Police in Papua New Guinea are questioning four people after more than US$2 million was stolen in a brash holdup in Port Moresby last week.
Police are investigating allegations a security guard disarmed fellow guards as they were transporting the cash between banks in an armoured security van.
Police say the trunks of cash were then unloaded into waiting vehicles.
The missing cash exceeds the US$1.4 million US dollars stolen by the notorious Papua New Guinea bank robber William Kapris in the Kerema and Madang robbery.
The prison escapee was killed in a shoot-out with police in July following a three-month man-hunt.
