Cook Islands weightlifter Luisa Peters has set some lofty goals at the Pacific Mini Games in Wallis and Futuna this week.
The London Olympian needs to lift a total of 210 kilograms in the women's 75 plus division to book her place at next year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
She's also keen to show she's improved since finishing fourth at the Pacific Games in Noumea two years ago and hopes a recent a stint in Noumea will translate into a medal.
"I've been training at the Oceania Weightlifting Institute in New Caledonia for the past two months, yes, in prep for this competition. Had a big total. It's a good vibe and everyone pushes everyone."
Luisa Peters says while she hasn't lifted her target weight in training she's feeling confident and expects Samoa to be her biggest opposition.
