Guam Shipyard cited for 61 violations of workplace safety

The US Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Guam Shipyard for a total of 61 alleged violations of workplace safety and health standards.

The Pacific Daily News reports that the company faces almost 300,000 US dollars in proposed fines following an inspection conducted by OSHA's Honolulu Area Office

The office says both the number and seriousness of safety and health violations identified during the inspection are cause for grave concern.
