The Pacific Islands Forum Ministerial Contact Group says it will visit Fiji later this month, but the Fiji Government says no visit has been agreed.
Fiji Village reported the Forum Secretary General Tuiloma Neroni Slade announced the visit just after the new Pacific Islands Development Forum and its secretariat was announced in Nadi.
Tuiloma says Fiji has made significant developments in the past year.
He says the Contact Group will lodge its report at the Pacific Islands Forum in the Marshall Islands in early September.
But Amena Yauvoli, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says no agreement has been made to host the Ministerial Contact Group.
