American Samoa is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the territory's biggest private sector employer, the StarKist Samoa cannery.
Events to mark the anniversary will peak on Saturday with a parade, presentation of awards for long serving employees, speeches and entertainment.
Many of the cannery's 2,000 workers are from Samoa and Samoa's Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has also been invited for Saturday's celebration.
The Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga has declared Saturday StarKist Samoa Day.
The chairman of the parent company, Dongwon Corporation of South Korea, Jae-chul Kim has arrived in Pago Pago for the occasion.
