A Vanuatu church is running workshops to encourage its members to lead healthier lifestyles and avoid obesity-related diseases.
One of the Seventh Day Adventist Potoroki Church's four trainers, Audrey Leun, says its main focus is helping members get back to basics by eating more fruit and vegetables and less processed food.
She says the Port Vila church is doing its best to help members live longer and have more energy.
"They have little time to go and look for good food from the market and also, not only that, but the prices of things have gone up so people tend to live quite cheaply - with that most of the people have obesity."
Audrey Leun says the workshops, which started last year, are not just limited to church members and anyone is welcome to join.
