Setefano Cakau was a shock omission from the Fiji team named to contest the World Cup of Sevens in Moscow at the end of the month.
The regular World Series skipper wasn't even included amongst the non-travelling reserves, with Levani Botia to captain the team.
Four overseas based players were included, Leicester Tigers flyer Vereniki Goneva and Perpignan's Waitsoni Votu.
Osea Kolinisau also missed out on the main squad but has been named as a non-travelling reserve.
Pricilla Siata will captain the Fijiana women's team.
