An American Samoan Senator Fa'agata Mano III of Fagatogo has died, aged 62.
He was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after developing breathing problems at a meeting at Tafuna High School.
Senator Fa'agata, who was serving his first term, was the chairman of the Senate Communications and Fisheries Committee
His wife said he was a diabetic and had high blood pressure.
