Fiji rugby legend Rupeni Caucaunibuca says he wants to play for his country again.

The 33-year old will line-up against his countrymen on Wednesday in the Centennial Match between the Classic All Blacks and Flying Fijians in Suva.

The former Blues and Agen star last played for the Fiji in 2010 and hasn't played a professional match since undergoing knee surgery in 2011.

He's signed to play for Northland in this year's New Zealand provincial competition and says he's keen to impress the Fiji selectors.

"At the moment it's a big thing for me to go there and show to the Fiji Rugby Union that I'm still keen to play for them, if they feel I'm good enough to play for them, but the first thing is for me I have to be playing well for the Classic All Blacks."
