Oceania football champions Auckland City are keeping their expectations in check ahead of December's Club World Cup competition in Morocco.
City defended their O-League title at the weekend, beating Waitakere United 2-1 in an all-New Zealand final, to qualify for their fifth appearance at the CWC, where there best ever finish has been fifth place.
Qualification guarantees a minimum payday of half a million US dollars but head coach Ramon Tribulietx says in terms of on field expectations, they need to be realistic.
"We know who we are - we're amateurs or semi-pro - and we know we have to compete against the best clubs in the world. We need to keep our feet on the ground actually and make sure that we turn up and we compete as well as we can and we leave a good image of Oceania Football. That would be the aim, regardless of whether we've been there once or twice or five times."
