Four men have been arrested in Papua New Guinea over the death of Australian expat Robert Purdy.

Media reports say the four were among 10 men who broke into Banz Kofi coffee plantation near Mount Hagen on April the 15th and shot dead 62-year-old Mr Purdy from Melbourne.

The men then raped a Filipino woman staying at the house.

The provincial police commander, Martin Lakari, told the National newspaper, that these people destroy the good name of the province and country at the international level, and everyone must work together to put them behind bars.

Six suspects are still at large.

Two of the men arrested by police were picked up on April 22 while another two were picked up while travelling in a vehicle in the nearby province of Jiwaka.
