The editor of a Kiribati newspaper is calling on the government to bring back Kiribati TV.
The government shut it down last month because of its debts and lack of expertise.
The editor of Te Uekera, Tearinibeia Eno Teabo, says the government must do something about the only TV station in the country.
He says TV helps the country's development because people receive a diversity of programmes and views about the things that are happening in their country and overseas.
The government is yet to finalise its decision on the future of Kiribati TV.
