Vanuatu opposition parties are now heading two of the four Provincial Government Councils following last month's elections.

Tafea Province and Malampa Province are under leadership of opposition parties while also securing the Vice Presidency of Penama and Shefa Provinces.

In Malampa Province, Councillor Willie Fred Tasso of the newly formed Graon mo Jastis Pati has been elected President of the Council.

Graon mo Jastis Pati was founded by MP Ralph Regenvanu who is also from Malekula.

The party was formed more than a year ago but already it has secured seats in Provincial Councils in Penama, Malampa and Shefa Provinces.
