Vanuatu judge bailed after chainsaw incident

A Vanuatu magistrate has been released on bail after he was arrested for allegedly damaging a neighbour's house armed with a rifle and a chainsaw.

The Daily Post newspaper says the judge, who is employed as a magistrate in Tafea Province, is free on conditions he not leave Malekula Island where he lives.

The judge, who is not named, has been charged with causing malicious damage to property armed with a gun and a chainsaw.
