An Australian investor in Vanuatu, Thomas Wasson, has been fined 12 thousand US dollars for illegally importing materials on his yacht by not clearing them through Customs in Luganville.
Mr Wasson pleaded guilty to three counts of causing a ship to unload imported materials outside the port of entry, landing of imports at a place not approved and failing to declare imported goods.
