Fiji reports typhoid outbreak in Ba area

A typhoid outbreak in Fiji has prompted the authorities to restrict movement in and out of Koroboya village in Ba.

FBC News says this follows the flooding caused by Tropical Cyclone Evan last week.

The Fiji Times says Koroboya will be under a lockdown for one month.

FBC News also says the damage caused by the cyclone in the Northern division is estimated at 17 million US dollars.

Crops sustained the most damage, estimated at 15 million dollars.
