The head of the American Samoa Power Authority says there is enough capacity at the Satala power plant to cover the current load despite a fire at the weekend which caused widespread power outages.
A generator caught fire on Sunday and it will need to be replaced.
The Authority's Andra Samoa says it is most likely that the fire was due to a leak in the fuel lines on the engine.
StarKist Samoa cancelled production on Sunday and Monday due to the power outages.
