Samoa court adjourns IRB case against Rugby Union

8:29 pm on 5 December 2012

The Supreme Court in Samoa has adjourned a legal action by the International Rugby Board against the Samoa Rugby Union over allegations a national team caused damage to a hotel room in New Zealand.

The Samoa A team had stayed at the hotel during the Pacific Rugby Cup tournament.

The media in Samoa has received little information about the legal action and even employees at the Samoa Rugby Union office did not know anything about the case.

The matter, which is before Justice Slicer, has been adjourned until December the 17th to give more time for lawyers of both parties to prepare statements.
