Sport: Tonga's 'Ikale Tahi target first win

10:25 am on 17 November 2012

After a difficult start on tour the Tongan team say they're in a good space ahead of Sunday's international against the USA in the north of Wales.

The 'Ikale Tahi were narrow losers in last week's tour opener against Italy and also came up short midweek against English club side Gloucester.

With a full week's training under their belt, number eight Viliami Mafu says preparation for tomorrow's clash has been much more settled, although he admits their opponents are largely a mystery.

"We know a couple of players that played in New Zealand - the Suniula brothers and their captain, Todd Clever, I've played with him, but other than that we don't really know much about them. But we know that they play a really good game of rugby. They've been improving the last few years so we are looking forward to a hard game."

The Flying Fijians are also in action tomorrow morning in a non-test against Ireland A in Dublin.
