Australia's Prime Minister has met Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister, and says talks were positive.
Julia Gillard met with Minister Peter O'Neill at a two-day forum on democracy in Bali.
Ms Gillard thanked Mr O'Neill for his cooperation in setting up an asylum seeker processing centre on Manus Island.
The prime minister also revealed that she would travel to Papua New Guinea in the first three months of next year.
