Fiji's electronic voter registration will reopen this weekend

Fiji's electronic voter registration will reopen from this weekend allowing people who haven't already registered to do so.

The Elections Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says the registrations will continue until the 7th of December.

So far, 488,000 Fijians have registered to vote in the 2014 election.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum says there has been about 13-hundred suspicious registrations, including one person who registered ten times.

FBC news reports 78,553 people from the Northern division have registered.

198,003 people registered in the Central division and 188,787 people are from West.

Another 23,298 people registered to vote in the Eastern Division.
