The Solomon Islands still have plenty of work to do after a heavy defeat in their latest warm-up fixture ahead of the Futsal World Cup.

The Kurukuru were thumped 10-3 by Australia on Thursday evening, after both teams had upset hosts Thailand earlier in the week.

Captain Elliot Ragomo says the team is continuing to working hard.

"Now is just to come here and to improve from where we have started. For our players we are here not just to participate now - we are here to compete and competing is playing against the best teams in the world. I think in the world cup in our build up matches we faced a lot of those games and we are very priveliged to have those games because it gives us more experience and puts us where we stand in the world cup games."

The Oceania champions have one more match against Egypt on Sunday before their world cup opener against Russia.
