12:30 pm on 4 October 2012

Papua New Guinea is to make its debut as an exhibitor at the World Travel Market event in London next month.

The Travel News website reports that PNG has a growing popularity as a tourist destination, reflected by the country's Tourism Promotion Authority deciding to open a London office this year.

A number of tour operators are featuring PNG in their programmes, keen to capitalise on the growing tourist interest in a nation that can provide a range of diverse experiences for the adventurous traveller.

The week-long World Travel Market is expected to host more than 4,000 travel related exhibitors from all over the world.
