10:26 am on 12 September 2012

Brisbane duo Ben Hannant and Josh McGuire and Wests Tigers prop Aaron Woods will have a chance to press their case for Kangaroos selection when they play for the Australian Prime Minister's XIII against Papua New Guinea later this month.

The trio are expected to fight it out for the fourth propping spot in the Australian side that will meet New Zealand in Townsville in October.

Lachlan Coote's impressive late-season efforts at five-eighth for Penrith have been rewarded with selection in the No.6 jersey, while the Warriors' Feleti Mateo has also been included in the pack for the Port Moresby clash.

Prime Minister's XIII: Darius Boyd, Akuila Uate, Jamal Idris, Chris Lawrence, Michael Jennings, Lachlan Coote, Scott Prince (captain), Aaron Woods, Andrew McCullough, Ben Hannant, Matt Gillett, Feleti Mateo, Corey Parker. Interchange: Peter Wallace, Tim Mannah, Josh McGuire, Ben Te'o. 18th man: William Zillman.
